Adult Learning Team Celebrates Chelsea Flower Show Awards Success

Hillingdon Council is celebrating after, Gold and Silver awards, received by two of their entries to the Chelsea Flower Show Diversity Awards.

The show is one of the highlights of the year for flower arrangers. Participants and visitors have the opportunity to see the work of some of the best, most creative and technically accomplished floral arrangers from around the UK and overseas.

Pat Dibben and Jane Melville, Hillingdon tutors from the Adult Learning team, were awarded gold for their floral design titled 'Vivaldi Four Seasons'. The silver was picked up by Lorraine Saunders for her design 'Elegance of Ballet to the diversity of punk rock'.

Being a century old, The Chelsea Flower show is the most prestigious floristry event in the horticultural calendar, the cleaners in Hillingdon said.
