Cozy up to Free Insulation
A new scheme is offering free loft and cavity wall insulation, thus helping residents to lower their energy bills.
The new imitative, called Warm and Cozy, has been created by Hillingdon Council and Dyson Energy Services in order to make homes more energy efficient.
The scheme is funded by energy companies with supervision from the council. Therefore, residents can expect added security and peace of mind.
There are two ways in which Residents living in poorly-insulated properties or those with no working central heating can qualify for the scheme:
If they live in key postcode areas.
If they rent privately or own their own home and are in a low income household on certain means tested benefit or credits.
Installing cavity wall insulation can save an average household up to £140 a year on their energy bills. Therefore, the new scheme has already started and Hillingdon Council is working with Dyson Energy Services to assess homes and provide the insulation they need, the cleaners in Hillingdon said.
