Hillingdon Council Introduces Automatic Recycling Bag Deliveries

Hillingdon Council is launching a new service, making it easier for residents to recycle.
You can now sign up to have recycling bags delivered automatically four times a year, so you never run out before collection day.

The council is helping its residents implementing with the new online service, since nearly half of all waste in Hillingdon - 43,700 tonnes last year, is recycled, the cleaners in Hillingdon said.

Normally residents receive the recycling bags from Hillingdon libraries after showing their Hillingdon First Card, order them online, or call the council. The current system is running quite well and yet some inconvenience may be caused due to lack of time, processing requests, waiting for bags. This new service removes the need to order more bags, thus eliminating any inconvenience
